Per Kirkeby (1938-2018) was a Danish painter, sculptor, and writer known for his large abstract works and nature-inspired themes. Kirkeby combined his background in geology with art, resulting in a unique visual language that reflects nature’s structures and processes.
He exhibited widely internationally and received numerous awards, including the Prince Eugen Medal. His works can be found in major collections such as Tate Modern in London and MoMA in New York.
