Egill Jacobsen (1910-1998) was a Danish painter and co-founder of the COBRA movement. His art is known for its strong colors and expressive forms, often featuring mask-like faces and symbolic motifs. Jacobsen’s work reflects a deep interest in primitivism and spontaneity, giving his paintings a distinctive, energetic quality. He received several awards, including the Eckersberg Medal, and his works are exhibited in museums and galleries worldwide.
